The Star

The Star
Upon doing research for this card, one source pairs the words "tawdry" and "hope."  Hope is never cheap.  Sometimes hope can come easier to some than to others, but it is never cheap.

Hope is precious.  It is necessary.  Hope is glorious.

In looking at the structure of the Major Arcana, the placement of The Star after both The Devil and The Tower is symbolic of how very untawdry hope is.  If taken in a pair, The Devil and The Tower are like a hangover from a gluttonous binge.  We can hit dazzling heights at times, but with those views of EVERYTHING comes the potential for a big booming fall.  The placement of The Star after that suggests the flexibility of the spirit and how one can heal.  Hope.

Hope is glorious.
