 Some of my babydoll paintings will be in a really cool show at Monkitree Gallery in Gardiner, Maine beginning next week.  This group show, called "In the Shadows of the Mind," is a response to a bunch of  things.

First, Maine has a wealth of artist who do not cowtow their art to the masses of tourist who request cutsy little lighthouses and lobster pots. 

Second, we have a very "interesting" governor in charge at the moment.  Back in February of 2011 he exposed the breadth of his knowledge and we were all a little scared.

Finally, cute little babydolls are much more interesting when they have issues.
